I use Gamespot and IGN and for the most part they seem trustworthy... I have seen questionable reviews and awards tho...Gamers.com has givin ALOT of game the highest mark of 10...whats up with that?lol

What do you guys think about these people? Are they paid off? Are the really brining us "honest" reviews? Do you even pay attention to reviews?

I've been going to IGN for awhile.

I don't really know of anywhere else, so that's the only place I go.

Well I think that IGN's GameCube section has gone way downhill. The only reviewer there I trust is Matt :p IGN's PC section just sucks

Gamespot easily has the best PC reviews, but some of their GC reviews aren't up to par.

What makes a review up to par to you? For me if they say its "great" and it is...then thats ok...right? But the year when Serious Sam won GOTY!....lol:disgust:

I just wonder if I pay too much mind to reviews from these people....

I trust Gamespot for a yay or nay but I have a problem with them for always rating Xbox games about a point lower than the same game if it were on the PS2. It is like the game gets a point off for being Xbox exclusive. Anyway, they gave Panzer Dragon Orta a 9.0 today in their review, I am glad to see they are able to give higher than an 8.x now. I have a membership to their site and it serves me well when I need a patch for a game.

Hmm, I tend to ignore reader reviews, because I always found that the bulk of the entries really were on opposite ends of the scale -- only the people who either loved or hated the game so much that they felt compelled to write something about it.

I use Neoseeker to hunt down different reviews on games that I'm interested in.

Gamespot is worthless--really worthless-their ratings are skewed positive by hype. IGN rates too high. My personal favorite is GamingNexus--they used to be GamePen--for the most part, I agree with almost every review they've put out--

I've been reading IGN for years. I'll sometimes read other sites, but when it comes down to spending my money, I check IGN.

I dont go off of one certain site, but instead ill wait for a few reviews and that will pretty much give you an ideal on whether its good or bad.
