I'm building a rig for VJ-application and I'd like to have my videoclips decoded in hardware to save CPU power for effects/reliability.
I was looking for some dedicated decoder cards like:

Which seemed quite nice.
But would it better to buy for example x700-series GPU?
Which/what card would give me most benefits in decoding formatts and connectivity?
Will it be any use to have BOTH on my machine ath the same time?
