Is that why Nvidia sold GPU keychains? For $9.99.

What else are you gonna do with defective dies right?

With the first-gen interposer and HBM stacking with TSVs, there's extra steps that can go wrong besides wafer defects, so there's bound to be more defective parts.

What are you supposed to do with it?

It is for the hardcore AMD fan who wants to redo that press conference and get it right.

(*Goes to local high school gymnasium and gets on stage*)

(*clears throat and holds up Fiji chip*)

"What we have right here is the fastest Directx 12 GPU on the planet."

"It is an underclockers dream, which is why we made the Nano."

In seriousness at least that explains the $1500 price if there are three Fijis in the box.

If NV would give a GM200 die with every Titan-X it would be the coolest thing on earth (perhaps even on the universe as well).
But this is a puny AMD, nobody wants to own a Fiji die with HBM chips.

I would feel the same if NV or Intel would do something like that. Im am an enthusiast first of all that likes Computers, but thats just me.
