Press Release:
Corsair, a worldwide leader in high-performance PC hardware, today announced the Hydro Series HG10 GPU cooling bracket, a powerful new accessory that gives gamers the opportunity to replace a stock graphics card cooler with any of Corsair’s Hydro Series liquid CPU coolers. The resulting upgrade unleashes the GPU’s hidden graphics performance by reducing GPU temperatures by as much as 50°C (122F), cutting down on droning fan noise, reducing GPU throttling, and boosting overclocking potential.

In conjunction with the new HG10, Corsair also premiered new LED-infused versions of its award-winning Air Series SP120 and SP140 static pressure fans in five different colors – red, white, blue, green, or purple.Hydro Series HG10 GPU Liquid Cooling Bracket

The HG10 offers full coverage for compatible reference-design GPUs, meaning it’s not just cooling your GPU itself, but the red-hot VRMs and VRAM on your card. After installing the HG10 GPU bracket, a PC enthusiast can mount any Corsair Hydro Series liquid CPU cooler (available separately) to chill their graphics card’s GPU (up to 50°C) and VRM/VRAM (up to 25°C) lower than stock temperatures. Don’t be afraid to push that overclock and extract every bit of performance from a graphics card – paired with a Hydro Series cooler, the HG10 can quickly dissipate large amounts of heat, and will reduce noise significantly compared to the GPU’s stock fan.

The HG10 is a straightforward to install. With only an ordinary screwdriver, you can easily swap your graphics card’s stock cooler with the HG10 bracket – all without the hassle and mess of installing a custom “open loop” liquid cooling setup. The HG10 cleverly re-uses the stock cooler’s radial fan, ensuring consistent airflow over the graphics card’s memory and power circuitry while maintaining compatibility with the GPU’s built-in fan control circuitry.

The HG10 is priced at $39.99 and available in several editions designed for specific AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards layouts. The first available edition – due in June – supports the AMD 290x/290 reference cards. Future versions for NVIDIA and other AMD cards arrive later this year

Looks like a much more elegant solution than the NZXT G10.
Wonder how well it will cool the VRMs.

Looks pretty good. It looks like they bought some Radeon fans for it :) Looks like it would be an awesome solution for reference cards as they don't have a memory/vrm plate.

It doesn't come with a fan.

You're supposed to screw in the reference fan.

The brackets are specific, kinda like full cover waterblocks.

The Nvidia one will use the fan from the NVTTM cooler I would suspect.

Ahh I see. This would be the perfect companion for a reference R9 290/X and GTX 780/Ti. Look forward to seeing some reviews.

This looks good for crossfire and sli setups with limited space since the shroud is thin. But i'm not sure if it will be better for single card setups than the G10. We will have to wait for some of the reviews.

Also the reference fans on most stock cooler tend to be crap so you may still have to replace the fan when the G10 comes with a decent 92mm fan already.

4000-5500 RPM Delta Blowers are not crap.

The worthless 92mm fan on the NZXT G10 is crap, and is there for essentially decoration.

Last time I checked my gpu didn't come with a 4000-5500 RPM delta fan.

And my VRM temps of 65c and 56c with the "Decoration fan" as you put it also disagrees with your statement.

One good thing i've noticed so far since this is a Corsair product it has more compatilibly with more closed loop corsair coolers than the G10.

Obviously a 4000-5500 rpm blower fan designed to cool a 250-400W TDP video card solo bows down to the prowess of a low speed 92mm case fan.

Your logic is flawless.

Lets actually get this cleared up.

Is the stock fan on all the radeon 290 cards all this 4000-5500 rpm fan and the same for the 780 ti?

Are we also implying you will be using the connector for fan header plugging this into the gpu so it will know to reduce/increase the fan speed at load/idle?

We haven't even seen a review for this yet.

I've spoon-fed in every single post in this thread so far.

Think for yourself if you want to argue.

I have a Kraken G10 coming in today! OH well. For the price, I could always buy the HG10 and compare the two myself when it comes out.

lmao what spoon feeding are you talking about.

This product is not out yet unless you have reviewed it yourself.

you have posted your opinion as have I.

I also already have the G10 in use. The next build I do for a friend I will go with the Corsair product to see how it stacks up.

Pretty much -

Corsair GH 10, use for reference cards with factory coolers.
Everything else, use the NZXT G10 with vrm heatsink if needed.

This is gonna be great if you have a CLC lying around. Not so great once you have to also buy the aforementioned CLC. Still, with a cheap-ass H55 you'd probably be golden, but it's not a "40 bucks and you're done" kind of thing. And it differs from the Kraken G10 quite a lot in its philosophy, no matter how similar the end result is. Interesting product, but not for me. I hope I'm proven wrong though, as the custom loop I have in mind will cost me an arm and a leg.

In other news, I'm more interested in the announced fans. LED SP series fans? Count me in. Yes, they're not the greatest, but come at a good price and are among the pretties IMO. I'll just slap some of these wherever fans are visible and then use Phanteks 140mm SP fans (Or the gray Noctuas, not sure. The Phanteks fans are really great and I've already used those) for good measure. Yep, sounds good.
