Videocard BIOS Flash. Advice wanted

Hi guys. Ive finally put together my new rig, with a DFI Lanparty nF4-D and X800GTO^2. I used ATiTool to overclock the card but i looked at the settings tab and it said the core and memory were already at 500mhz/500mhz. all 16 pipelines had been enabled too. when overclocking, this card only reached 530/530 with the stock cooler and im not too impressed by this. do you think i should flash the bios to the one provided on techpowerup, and whether or not this might affect my overclock?
 
If you're set on trying out the BIOS, you can always backup your current one and flash it back if nothing improves. Oh and get familiar with blind flashing in case something screws up and you have to flash it back without a screen. 🙂
