GA-8inxp - O/c 2.4 -> 3.2
PNY GF4 TI4200
1GB PC3500
WinXP Pro

Everytime windows boots up, screen disapears and reapears when the "Welcom .." displays and also does it when displaying the desktop. This doesn't happen when I first installed XP without the Nvidia drivers, happens only when I installed the Nvidia drivers.

Does anyong have this problem?

I'd take my chances and guess its just switching refresh rate. unless you mean it goes blank for 10+ seconds?

its just a momentary black out (<1 sec). I tried to switch to the lowest refresh rate (60Hz) and it still does it.

it happens during the welcome screen, it blacks out then returns the welcome screen again. then when displaying the desktop screen it agian blacks out then displays the desktop again. the second part only happens after I installed any of the Nvidia drivers.

I get the same effect before going to the Windows desktop if I overclock my MSI TI4200 card. Apparently it loads a setup file on startup and switches the clock speed to my overclocked speed, causing a momentary blanking of the display.

Do you overclock per chance?

I did but set it back to default after I accidentally fdisk my system drive (wrong drive!). After reinstall of winxp, no overclocking of video.
