I went to boot up my computer yesterday and I noticed the picture was rather distorted. When I came to the XP Log-On screen, the computer froze. I rebooted and the same thing happened, only this time I got to the desktop, got an error message saying "nvidia geforce4 ti4400 has caused instability", or something ot that effect. I rebooted a few more times and kept locking up at the XP Log-On screen. I formatted C:, did a clean install of XP, but I noticed again, the screen was still distorted, until I actually got into windows, which I found odd. I began installing the drivers for my network card etc. and then installed the 30.82 dets. I rebooted and the screen was distorted before windows booted up as it had been previously, but now the XP log-on screen was distorted again. I froze, rebooted, went into safe mode and uinstalled the nvidia drivers. I can now get into windows w/o freezing, but the screen is still covered in blue squares. Its not the montior, because it works w/ my sisters comp. Do you think the video card is screwed and I need an RMA? Or could there be another problem?
