Video too dark.,Half-life,TFC,OF

I just installed a retail Hercules 3D Prophet II MX. I am using Nvidias 6.31 driver. When I am playing any of these Half-Life games (TFC,Opposing Force) the contrast is too dark. I tweaked the game settings but still too dark. Is this a known problem? I checked Sierra and Nvidia's web site but nothing.Any help would be appreciated.thxs

Is this your first nVidia board?

All of nVidia's offerings are dark, you can adjust this in display properties before you start the game or there is a utility that you can download I saw over at NvNews that can make automatic adjustments to your disply settings for each game(works with the shortcuts).

Yes I am new to Nvidia chipset...Thanks for the info..Checked out the website you mentioned. Ya I wish there was a easy program for TFC like the one then mention for GLQuake! TFC is really the only game I play. Did see the console commands for Half -Lfe it but I really didnt do much...Its a great card,smooth graphics and all but I just wish I could get the brightness back up....
