Video sync problems

This has been going on for awhile but it is starting to really annoy me. Whenever I watch streamed clips on like YouTube (although the site doesn't generally matter), how long the video is, or the video quality of the video. The audio and video do not sync properly, most of the time the video is ahead of the audio. I do not have these problems in any of the 3 players (WMP, BSPlayer, VLC) that I have. I have reinstalled my codecs, my video drivers, and updated my players.

Any ideas? I am stumped.

I just installed the SLD codec pack to fix an intractable, illogical codec problem on my parents' computer. This utility was recommended by my brother-in-law who works in IT. You could try it.

Youtube uses flash player, so your installed codecs should not matter. Videos on youtube/google video/whatever are usually out of sync for me and you see a lot of people complain about it in the comments.

If it's a streaming quicktime/realplayer/windows media video, then it certainly could be a player/codec issue.

Try Quicktime Alternative or Real Alternative.

My personal favorite codec pack is the CCCP (combined community codec pack). Download yourself some communism ^_~).

yeah, its usually a problem with the clip you are viewing, and nothing you can really do about it on your side to fix it.
