Video streams randomly stop

Whenever I try and view a streaming video like something from youtube or google video, the player randomly stops even though the video has buffered past the point where it stops. I can't do anything to get it going again and it happens in both Firefox and IE7.

I have absolutely no idea what to do as I never encountered something like this before. The only new thing I did today was to install AMD/ATI's new 7.2 video driver.

Any tips?

EDIT: It seems WMP also stops mid stream too.

Could I please get some help here? This problem is extremely annoying. All video streams stop at a random interval and refuses to go farther. Im really stuck here
