video streaming??? what do i need

i trying to build a webpage (my first one obviously). and want to stream a 1 hour clip. wha do i need to set up effective video streaming. what kind of a connection do i need for self hosting (t1 is out..). please help
 
self hosting an hour long video clip? That's not gonna be too cool on a cable or DSL connection.

Your best bet is to stream it through a Flash MX player, so you dont have to even worry about server software.

well its not going to be viewed very often. i'm fairly sure of that.
