Video Storage?

I am looking for some kind of storage that:
- Would be particularly dedicated to video files or to media files.
- I could manage (add, remove, classify files) from my computer but which is independent from it, only connected.
- Could be accessed from my TV via a remote control (to browse this external hardrive) (basically where I can browse and play my files).

If anyone has understood what I tried to describe and has ever heard of such thing I would be more than delighted to hear from you...

I don't have one, but it sounds like you are describing the Tivo with "Home Media Option". Google that to get more info.
