I am having problems with a new build. In Windows ME, the video slows down progressively when playing windows games (mostly) and the only thing that will correct it temporarily is a reboot.

The system is a MSI 745 Ultra MB, Athlon 1.33 GHz, Chaintech GF3 Ti200/64Mb, 256 Mb DDR333 (Samsung), Maxtor 40 Gb/7200 HD, Motorola 56K modem, Lite-On 16x DVD (IDE2 master), Asus 24/10/40 CDRW IDE2 slave), clean install of Win ME + updates, directX 8.1.

The SIS AGP drivers are installed, the video drivers were 12.41 from the install CD, upgraded to 28.32.

Has anybody seen anything like this?? Suggestions??

Well I got this problem fixed. Thanks for the input. The problem turned out to be a dumb setup error. We forgot to set the PCI Coonfiguration Primary VGA Bios to AGP (we left it at PCI) for the Ti200 card. I guess that makes the machine try to run the video through the RAM, using it up.

I had checked the temp files and such, and finall went back to the Bios where I found our booboo.

Thanks again for the replies, this is a great forum.
