Video Signal Booster

I know this topic was addressed in an older thread but I can't find it.

I have my cable's coax split 4 ways going to different parts of the house. Lately the reception has been pretty poor. I want to put a signal booster on it and need to know what the best sub-$100 unit would be.

I have a cheap Radio Shack unit that is totally ineffective.

Also, is there a good multi-outlet version that would allow me to eliminate the 4-way splitter?

i picked up a gold plated 6 outlet powered one at hoopers. not sure if you have that store in your part of the country. it was about 30ish.
