I really wish NVIDIA would get off their lazy rear ends and release an accelerated H.264 decoder already.

HTPCs are nothing new. PC Video playback has been around way before the latest MCE craze. And also: FFDSHOW > AVIVO > PureVideo Presently for Video playback (quality wise). Maybe one day, someone in NVidia or ATI will wake and realize this and embed FFDSHOW potprocessing programability / acceleration in their GPUs.

I also remember Nv mentioning they will enable Gamma-corrected AA on the 6 series back when they were launched...
