high quality captures with multiple formats to save to

Im looking to use it for video capture not just images

Any suggestion?

I don't know about the video part, but for screen captures I really like snagit...

I've been looking for snag it, but it seems everywhere I go is non functioning... Do you have a working link?

Windows Media Encoder and FRAPS will do screen captures. WME does window or full screen IIRC. I forget what FRAPS does at the moment, but the output format can be a little strange (My NLE does not like a native FRAPS capture file). Not that I recommend them over others...

The one used the most by guys doing training videos is Camtasia.

I used to use Snagit - then I found MWSnap. It is better IMHO.
