In Ded 04 I built a new computer with a Aopen i865PEa-7if Mobo, P4-3 gig 200 gig seagate HD, 512 mg Kingston and a used Chaintech Geforce 4 MX 440 I traded for. Everything works great. I have a used Princeton Ultra 72 monitor that I am very pleased with. I have the resolution set to 1152 x 864 and refresh at 60. I did have 1024 x 768 and a refresh at 70.
I also upgrade the driver from the Nvidia website. Both before and after these changes I have a problem with only one program change these settings to 640x 480 and refresh to 60.
I had this same program running on my old W98 machiine with no problem. Sometimes, but not always, when I close the program the desktop icons have been rearranged. Any ideas on what the problem is? How can I keep the settings from changing? While in the program in question I have no problem resetting the resolution to 1152x864 or 1024x768 and it works fine but when I open it it always resets.
