Video reccomendation needed

I am rebuilding an older system, XP3000+ chip, and I need a new AGP video card. My old 5700 Ultra died. Unfortunately I tried adding a nice new Zalman 900 fan, but the chip still had artifact on screen (although it is now running incredibly cool, oh well.)

Machine specs:
MSI K7N2G-ILSR
XP 3000+ (the 333mhz version)
1.5 gig ram
350 watt Antec Truepower

I am ok buying a used card, if that makes the most sense. It is for my little guy playing games from several years ago. I just want to max out the machine, but not get a card more powerful than I need since it isn't going to go into any other machine in the future (being an AGP) So I want to hit the sweet spot of price/performance by not getting anything more powerful than what an XP3000+ can feed it.

66$ shipped for a hd3650 or 80$ shipped for a 4650 at new egg.
I would get a used 7600gs/7600gt/7800gs or a 1650pro/1650xt/hd3650 if you can find one.

On Newegg reviews, someone wrote they had severe issues with the 4650 because it requires SSE2 instruction set, which the old Athlon XP does NOT have on it. Can anyone verify this? Would I be limited to the HD3650 with an Athlon XP system?
