video ram sinks

does anyone know, what are the benefits, of using ram sinks for video memory?
i want to buy REVOLTEC BGA RAM FREEZER, for my video card (it's a Gigabyte 6600GT, with 128mb with a changed cooling, from artic nvidia silencer nv6 rev2), in order to overclock the card.

AFAIK RAM cooling doesn't hurt, but may or may not help much for overclocking. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea if your RAM is running really hot to stabilize it.

is your 6600gt agp or pcie? I had an xfx 6600gt that was agp, and the agp/pcie bridge chip got HOT, really, really hot. Believe it or not, using 2 copper bga ramsinks, one on top of the other, cooled it well enough that I was able to OC the card quite a bit more..

13.5mm tall ramsinks... make sure you have enough clearance underneath the nV silencer to fit those onto the side RAM chips, or mod them so that they do.
