Where can I get a basic DE razor? I already use a shaving brush and Promoso shaving cream.
(New) Parker Razors on Ebay
Cotton Blossoms (Weishi and Merkur razors)
Classic Shaving (Merkur and Feather razors)
QED (Merkur)

That should get you started.

Get a Merkur classic as opposed to the Weishi and Parker. The latter are rather cheap and you may be turned off more by the product than the using the DE itself. The Merkur classic should still have a good resale value if you do not like it. In fact, you may want to watch the forums at shavemyface.com to see if there are any for sale.

For those of you who already use a DE, how would it do for shaving my head? I shave my head 2-3 times a week using a Mach 3 Turbo. I've thought about switching to a DE but have been worried about nicking up my scalp.

Are you from the future?

Oh I dunno 'bout that. I've never tried a Weishi but I have a Parker 90R that I find perfectly acceptable. If you can get one at around the minimum bid I think it'd be worth it.
