Video Processing

Hi Guys,

I need some immediate advice if possible on a motherboard solution, video card, and additional components.

I am processing images with an Intel Video Library with some software that isn't designed for SMP (part of it are homegrown). With that in mind, I know I need an Intel board, but I'm not sure if I wouldn't get more bang for the buck with a single CPU. Here are all my requirements:

Intel
As fast and as much RAM as possible (no less than 1 Gig)
Firewire
USB 2
Gigabit Ethernet
SCSI Harddisk
Video Card with Video capture (NOT ATI)

Price really isn't and issue, but stability and performance are vital.

What do you suggest?
Rob

For clarification, this is for research into real-time processing of images taken from a digital video camera. The images are processed and then sent over ethernet to another computer for additional processing.
