Video Problems

Hello. I have a Radeon 9700 Built by ATI card and a 17'' LCD Monitor. Whenever I play graphics intensive games (like Splinter Cell adn NFS: Underground), there comes a point in the game where the monitor just shuts off. The computer is still running because I can still hear the game sounds, but the monitor cannot find a connection to the computer. It is either a video card or monitor problem, in my opinion. Has anyone else experienced this? I have all the updated drivers.

i have a 9800pro and the same thing used to happen to me, but only using older drivers. im gonna guess you have vpu recover disabled right?
try enabling it.
