Basically...when i turn on my computer, the monitor is blank and getting no signal. At first i thought it was the monitor, so i tried a different monitor, but nope, it did the same thing. After that, i tried to switch video cards but that didn't work either and i still get no signal on the monitor!! I don't know what to do at this point so I would really appreciate it if someone can help me =] My computer right now has a p4 3.2ghz(LGA775), Asus P5AD2 mobo, 2x512gb corsair xms ddr2 ram, and an ati radeon x700pro.

well i would guess that if you have swapped out both the display and graphics card...then perhaps its not a video problem..with so little info to go on its hard to tell. I wouldn't overlook the possiblity of a Power supply problem.

It's not a video problem.

Are you getting any beeps when you try to boot?

Unplug everything except your CPU/HSF, one stick of RAM and a video card. See if that helps.

there are no beeps....the monitor is just blank. I dont think it's a powersupply problem either because the computer doesnt shut off or anything.....it stays on but the monitor is blank

I would still try what this person said. When my PSU went, there were no POST beeps and the power on light was still lit and my PSU fan was running. Remove the cover and check the CPU fan. Mine would just twitch once and stop. When you turn it on, does the HDD light show activity? Do the lights on ur optical drive(s) light up? Power supplies can be very decieving when they go. Don't overlook the possibility just because it appears the computer is on. Definately sounds EXACTLY the way mine acted when the PSU went.

ok so i check the hd light and the optical drive light and they arent on....so its ap ower supply problem?

All this will do is determine if any of the other hardware(CD-ROM, HDD, add-in cards, etc.) is causing the problem. Did you look inside at the CPU fan while trying to boot? If you unplug/remove all IDE and power cables(except main power plug to mobo) to other hardware and other add-in cards and all RAM but one stick and it still will not POST, then it is the PSU or mobo. PSU is usually the cheaper of the two to replace to test.
