Everytime i play a game it either freezes or exits. The games I've tried was Counterstrike, Starcraft, and Everquest. It freezes & exits in win 98 and win 2k. If anybody can help me i would greatly appreciate it.

Computer specs:
800mhz Athlon
ASUS K7M mobo
128 micron sdram
Vortex soundcard
Visiontek Geforce 2 GTS 64meg w/ TV out (tried the drivers that came with the video card and the one in nvidia's website)

Symptoms mentioned is typical of sound card problems, try the very same games with sound-on checking against with sound-off to see if freezes or lock-ups gone away.

Sorry but can you sum everything up for me? I don't really understand it. Am i suppose to change something in my bios?
