I'm having a weird problem while playing CSS (haven't played any other games recently so I don't know if its just CSS). You can check out the problem here, screenshots: http://rmclaughlin8.photosite.com/Album2/Weird_CSS_2.html

Basically purple spots are all over my screen and it's definately not the map, just regular Office. I have an 8800GTS and I'm running the 97.92 drivers. I just reinstalled Windows XP today so its a fresh install. I was having this trouble under the previous installation and tried a reformat- same thing.

It doesn't happen ALL the time, however. I'd say 50/50, sometimes everything is normal. The only thing I've changed in my system recently is the monitor, my LCD died and right now I'm using an old CRT. I'm wondering if this is the problem or do you think it's the video card, because the 8800GTS is only about 2-3 weeks old.

Hmm. It could be a missing shader (a missing texture in CSS is purple AFAIK) being diffused on the walls.

Well you say it doesn't happen all the time. Honestly, I don't know. Probably a driver bug. It doesn't look like an overclocking artifact but it's always possible.

My 8800 isn't overclocked so that couldn't be the problem. I'm wondering if it could have something to do with my monitor. I've been using an LCD w/ my 8800 since I had it and have had no problems with CSS.... then since yesterday, I've been using a fairly old CRT and have had trouble.
