video problem

I just swapped out a 3dfx video card with the GF 4200. I swapped the cards and then loaded the new drivers. Now my aquarium screen saver will not work, it locks up the computer, and a windows update for this driver will not load. Any help will be apreciated.

Did you remove the old drivers first?

No I didn't. Can I just remove the the drivers now and then reload the nvidia drivers?

I wouldn't bother with the old drivers; they'll not find a 3DFX card, so they won't do anything. I'd focus on updating your drivers with the latest driver release from www.nvidia.com. Test that and let us know how it goes.
