Video Problem with Windows Server 2003 [resolved-ish]

I've got a Dell Dimension 9150 running Win Server 2003 R2 that has suddenly started having video problems. I say video problems only because I'm not sure how else to describe the issue.

Basically the monitor stays in standby/powersave mode once it boots into windows. The BIOS screens and Windows boot screen show fine, but once it passes the boot screen, I get nothing. It's like there's no video signal at that point.

Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot this further? The vid card, cable and monitor seem fine since they work with another system without any problem and the startup screens show up fine. What else should I check?

Ok, the problem seems to have fixed itself somehow. After booting into safe mode to check the event log, i found no errors, and after rebooting again the problem still existed. After rebooting twice more (hard resets), it just suddenly started working again. Hopefully it keeps working long enough for me to get things moved over to another machine next week.
