OK this didn't get any answers in Software/Games where I tried it first, so here goes again:
hey guys,
Hoping I could maybe get some answers or help here on my issue. Tried out an old game we play at LAN get togethers and it isn't working like I hoped it would. Game is Rogue Spear, v2.05. I know it works on other XP machines ok, i've seen it work. My system is XP Pro, FX-55, 6800 Ultra, newest release drivers.
Problem:
Game installed and patched fine, menus work fine everything looks good... Until I get in the game and then the screen basically "vibrates" the picture is all jittery and jumping around. Not jumping around like a monitor hardware thing, definately a video type jumping around. It will go away if I hold perfect still and wait but as soon as I move again its all vibrating again. Makes me sick to play it, basically not usuable in currenty form.
I tried bumping refresh down to 75, changing to 1024x768 and 1280x1024 in the game. I didn't try software render but it looks terrible anyhow... I am using hardware mode. If you have any idea what could cause this or how I could fix it please let me know. Maybe I can change something in an application profile in the Nvidia software managing tool?
If you need more info let me know
Thanks for any help,
Rhin0
