I will be receiving a few SD cards with dozens of video clips, each between 1-30 minutes long. About half of them I will not use and delete.

I'm looking for a program that will let me go through and open each file in alphabetical order by file name, quickly seek through the clip, and delete the files I don't want.

IrfanView does this well with pictures, but not video.

Right now I'm using Media Player Classic, but it doesn't delete. I have to make note of the filename and then go back to Windows Explorer and delete from there.

Well, my Windows Media Player does delete. (version 10 on). I go to file, find the file, right click, and Delete is a menu option.

Hmm. That is not bad. It doesn't take too long to add them to my library. I can't seem to figure out how to view the playing video and the library at the same time. I have to go back and forth between screens if I decide I want to delete it.

Couldn't you use something like VLC, and an open Explorer window next to it? Drag/drop the videos over to view, and delete the ones you don't want.

This, I do not see a problem with keeping the explorer window open?

That's what I'm doing now with MPC-HC, but it's kind of slow going back and forth with hundreds of files at a time. Ideally, I'd like to not have to go back to Explorer at all. I can advance to the next file with "next track" inside MPC-HC, but it can't delete.

Try installing the optional codec pack for Irfanview. It can be found on www.irfanview.com

This lets you view most video formats.

I have that, but videos seem to take a long time to load compared to MPC-HC and I can't seek through the files using IrfanView.
