video playback playing at half speed

Don't know what the deal is but video playback on my laptop is now playing really slow complete with that 'slow talk' sound and all. I added a 512mb so-dimm last week but it was playing fine after that. Only other change was adding ogg-vorbis two days ago.

AVIs, Quicktime, pretty much everything is playing slow.
