Video playback issues

This is insanly childish, but I have been trying to get caught up with all those new "Star Wars" kid videos and am running into some issues. Some play just fine, then others will play the audio but no video. What am I missing? I am using media player, is there some other I should try? Oh, this also happens in winamp. Thanks.

you should try to figure out what video codec is used for the different videos. look for an app named "gspot". it should tell you what codec you need. stay away from codec packs like the nimo codec pack. just install only the codecs you need.
