Video playback issue in 64bit XP

For some unknown reason, I can no longer view wmv and avi files in 64bit XP, I can hear audio but there is no video (black screen). Quicktime mov files play fine. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing codecs and WMP but the problem still persists. Any suggestions?

Didn't forget, I have K-Lite Mega Codec Pack installed, got all the codecs I need. Plus, everything was working fine till a few days ago. Cant think of anything I've done/installed/uninstalled that could have affected video playback.
