video playback hesitation

Usually when I start playing a video file,small or large,there are small hesitations. Sometimes even they continue with 3-5 minute intervals. Processor shows less than 10% performance,so I think it's video card.

any suggestions?




DFI nf3 ultra-D,4200 x2,1gb,250gb,9800pro with latest drivers,winxp.
 
Need more explanation about 3-5min intervals.
Did you defrag your drive yet? It was giving me trouble in everything.
 
Yes I did. Even if I didn't,there should be absolutely no problem for any component to read a 80mb file.

Intervals..I mean, the video would hesitate for 2-3 seconds(just like if you try to do tons of multitasking) then everything would be oke for maybe 5 minutes and it would come back(not always) in 3-5 minutes.
