I?m having an issue I think is with my video card. I?ve noticed in games like IL2:Sturmovik, NHL 2006, and DOD:S that my computer will freeze up or pause for 10 seconds or so. This happens with more than one game so I know it isn?t a single game causing this, but I have noticed that in IL2 it happens more often. Since I updated my drivers to the latest 81.98 drivers it froze every 5 minutes in IL2. After that it will un-freeze and continue to play fine for 10 minutes or so until the next freeze. Or it will freeze and blue-screen and restart. The blue-screen says something about an nvidia driver or something. (I?ll need to write it down next time it happens) I currently am running a XFX 6800GT overclocked to 410/1100. This has only been occurring since my upgrade. I went from an Asus A7N8X deluxe with an Athlon XP2400 to the following:

ASRock 939 Dual SATAII
Operton 146 OC @ 2.75
2Gig OCZ Platinum
XFX 6800GT AGP(Which would OC higher on the older setup at 430/1100)

So what is up?

Is this a power issue?

Is it a sound issue?
I?m using the integrated sound that came with the board.

An OC issue?
I am going to test it tonight w/o any OC on the videocard

Is it a heat issue?
I noticed when I first OC?d this new setup to 430/1100 like my old setup that DOD:S would get artifacts and crap on the screen which I chalked up to heat because it would get pretty hot but I also thought it could be I was just pushing it too far.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When you upgraded, did you reinstall windows, or just boot up with your existing OS and install the new drivers? Your old mobo drivers might be messing with your setup. Might want to do a regcleaner or clean up your registry by hand.

You should probably also uninstall/reinstall all video drivers, and like you mentoned, take the clocks down to stock.

Have you measured temps while you're playing? RivaTuner can monitor temps and save to a log file so you can still check them after a BSOD. Icon is a filmstrip with a magnifying glass.

What PSU?

No fresh install

Last night I reset my video card back stock numbers and it seemed to work ok. I'll try to do slight OC increases and see if it can handle any OCing. I'll also get riva and check my temps.

Thanks
