I'm trying to help my bro in-law to hook up his computer to a tv which only has composite video. He has an agp slot in his computer. I have a spare ti4200 with s-video out and was going to put that in for him. Just wondering how the video signal will be. I watch movies using dell 700m hook up to a s-video tv and that's look pretty good, better than vhs!!!
So:
should I go with the ti4200 or buy an ATI card?
Thanks

I have a Gainward Ti4200 that has atrocious TV-out. I've found ATI cards to have much better TV out quality overall. The Ti4200 went into my Dad's PC and was replaced with a Radeon 8500LE.

I didn't notice much between a Leadtek Ti4400 and a 9800 Pro when using composite or S-vid outs.
However, using a DVI->Component dongle on the ATI had a huge impact on image clarity :p
