Video out = black + white on TV

Trying to play a home movie that's on a buddy's comp on his TV. Using an S cable the video plays fine on the TV but only in black and white. I've tried 3 different cables and still the same thing. He has a Radeon 9100 and he's running XP pro. Did i miss a setting somewhere? Any ideas?

You missed a setting.

I can't remember exactly which, nor check (1. I use nVidia drivers, 2. The control panel is screwed up).

I think it's to do with the output settings (ie: check it's set to S-Video, NTSC/PAL correctly, and the correct country), there might be another setting, but I had the same issue and it was due to something on the output mode thingy being wrong.

It was with a Ti 4400, but since S-Video is s-video, the setting is probably the fault.

the svideo jack on the tv could be broken. happened to mine. wiggle it while its plugged in and see what happens.

I had the same problem on my laptop ( a Dell Inspiron 8200 using the Geforce 4 Go 440) Using Nvidia's Nview I had to reset the setting so i just put it on pal and back to ntsc and it was in color. Not sure about Ati's stuff but should be the same consept. I also had to manually select s-video with on auto it is black change to s-video.
