Video or FLV interactive overlays

I am looking for a way to make interactive videos. The main concept is for the user to be able to mouse over or click on elements in the video and get additional information.
This is a decent example.

Something like that but I also would put graphical/text indicators on the video itself, not entirely transparent.

I was wondering if something like Hot Flash Video is the way to go for a newbie. I want something really easy, predone scripts and stuff.

I was listening to Net@Night. Overlay.tv I think does what you want it to do. Haven't used it but I think it's what you want.

Thanks for the link. I think it's a little too oversimplified for my needs. I need something a little more robust. Even just simple draw/animation controls/timeline.
