Video on HDTV's

Im just curious on how well the display is on HDTVs with 720p? im looking for a setup for gamming and thought it would be killer to have my favorite PC games running on a 46 inch wide screen monitor... I know the highest they are able to hit is 720p, do the images look sharp? is text legible and easy to read? ive tried it on my conventional TV set but the image is just to fuzzy for my liking, anyone that has tried this please let me know how well it works out. thanks

I've been trying to get stuff to run on my 56" hdtv, but to not much avail. For some reason I think I heard that ATI is putting HDTV support in their drivers soon. The highest they can hit is 1080p which is massively expensive. There is a world of difference between regular tv out stuff and hdtv. I was able to get some video onto mine and it looked incredible. Find a friend with an HDTV and go try it on theirs.

why don't you try 1280x720 on a crt monitor and see how that looks cuz it should be the same if you have a 720p tv
