My monitor does not go into "deep sleep" after I got the Asus A7N266-VM board.
On all of my past systems, the monitor used to turn off and go into the "slow blinking" mode, about 0.5Hz freq. It would take about 15s to wake up from that mode. I think that mode was called "Vid off, V/H sync"
On the new system, the monitor only goes into the "light sleep" mode: fast blinking (2Hz) and wakes up in 1 second. I tried all video off methods in the Bios, no change at all
Here's the question:
Is one mode better than the other for the health of the monitor? And if yes, how do I change it now?
