Wow guys, we just spotted a new video of the PlayStation Phone, codenamed Zeus Z1, and this time we get a long, loving look at the entire device -- a refreshing contrast to last time's blurry tease. In addition to appreciating just how fat this phone is, and just how real it is, you can clearly see a "PlayStation" icon, which should hopefully put to rest any doubts that this phone will actually play PlayStation games. Check out a close-up of the icon after the break. Oh, and by the way, there's no audio on the video, your computer is not broken.

[Thanks, Sha]

Update: There's another video! Check out a brief look at the PlayStation app after the break...

The only thing that bugs me is how thick the phone is. It really is very thick, almost two phones thick it looks like at it's largest section. That touch analogue pad section in the middle might be the culprit for that.

The thickness doesn't bother me. I actually think it's roughly the right thickness. When you're holding the system in both hands it helps to have a little thickness to it. The tapered top and bottom seems to be designed ergonomically too.

One area that really bothers me is the lack of a true cross controller (Nintendo patented) and I've always hated the official Sony controllers because the inside "cut out" parts of the cross controller always seems to dig into my left thumb.

Weight is going to be a concern I think. You don't want to be holding a heavy phone up to your ear.

I think the biggest concern is battery life. I understand it's a Playstation phone but the primary task of any phone should be to make phone calls and not play games. Play it for 10 minutes or half an hour and stop at any time. That's why gaming has been successful on the iPhone. Because it's not geared towards long play periods. In general, console ports are not going to work well on a device that is meant to double as a phone.

I think the phone looks slick and should open up a lot more really nice capabilities for gaming. Not just playstation games either, but android designed games.

4" Screen, solid. I could go for a 4.3, especially if you're going for a big phone. Just go the extra distance. But aside from that the screen looks very nice. I assume the specs of the phone are top notch. Do we have any info on which carrier will be getting this phone?

SonyEricsson support for Android has been...well... lackluster. Do any of their phones even have Froyo yet? I know this PS phone is launching with Gingerbread but I'd be weary of buying this phone for fear I wouldn't get any newer updates.

I'd be more excited as to how long it takes for someone to rip the software to use on other android phones :) Unless of course Sony ignores the GPL and doesnt release source for the phone.

I highly doubt that the Playstation functions of this phone will be entirely done in software.

I'll skip it. First, it's way to thick for me. But for for what it is I understand it though. Second, Sony's Android support is actually worse than Samsung's, that's saying something. At least Samsung updates their phones in something that qualifies as almost reasonable. Sony's is a joke.

Wow, what is the market for this? 12-18 year old boys? Looks like a kids toy to me.

Which reminds me of the PSP ad making fun of Apple where a bunch of 12 year olds are talking about how great gaming is on the PSP vs iPhone...

Yeah, my only gripe would be how thick it is but I do understand why it had to be.
I hope the thickness has to be how big the battery is.
