Video of Hussein's execution - will we get to see it?

I think the world needs to see this. I'm sure Al Jeezera will have the video, if for no other reason than to bash the US...I don't care. I want to see him swing, as I'm sure do most of his countrymen.

I've noticed a purposeful absence of comments about "televised/videotaped coverage" of the hanging on CNN.

What are your thoughts on it?

I saw a headline on Drudgereport.com that said it won't be made public, but I'm sure this thing will be leaked even if they try to cover it up. Also people would want evidence that he is dead. I wouldn't worry to much about it not being available.

My point EXACTLY. If they show some guy with a bag over his head getting hung and say "Yep, that's Saddam." nobody will believe it.

Also, I have this funny feeling that now that he's been handed over to the Iraqis, they will "lose him." He'll be kidnapped/stolen/lost or something. :roll: Watch...I've just got this gut feeling.

In order for the healing to begin in Iraq, the whole country needs to see his face, up close, being put into the noose, etc.
 
I really, really want to see a video like that. But as you said, and I'm actually quite surprised that I'm not the only one who thought that, I think the Iraqi government will suddenly, accidentally 'lose' him.

I'm more of a US Flag waver than most; but I don't believe for a minute that our government doesn't lie to us every day about one thing or another...whether it be "for our own good" or whatever.

As bassackwards as it may seem to go to war in Iraq, and then let him go for some odd political reason, it could happen.

I trust nobody but the cameras on this one.
