Wow, that's pretty cool, but what about the stones that lay on top of the pillars?

yeah thats what i was thinking too.
Perhaps they could have used the same technique (of rocking back and forth while inserting stuff under opposite sides of the central pivot) to get the top stones high enough to make the process of moving them into position easier.

maybe they just built small ramps out of dirt, drug the blocks up the ramp, and let them slide down the side into their final resting position. that is WAY easier and obviously would also work. it also explains how it would be possible to put the blocks on top of other blocks.

i dont think it is easy, but with 50 guys it would be possible.

i dont think it is easy, but with 50 guys it would be possible.

The guy moved a barn, and that stone by himself. Sure, going uphill is harder, but not impossible. Ropes, pulleys, and a dirt ramp, anything is possible. Get enough guys involved and I bet it could happen.

The guy also mentioned that he was doing his gig without the use of pulleys... I don't think they had pulleys in the stonehenge days.
