Very cool, will be great once they work the bugs out.

It'd be really awesome to have 360 degree photos in your phone.

Still needs a lot of work:
1) They better put in control to keep the exposure constant while you circle around. That looks like a mismatch of pictures with all varied exposures, it's not well blended.
2) There's still alignment issues (@4:20). They need to figure out a way to deal with the fact that we suck at pivoting.

It's an interesting idea for sure, but it's at the polished level of what i would expect with some random 3rd party app. No offense to Google.

i didn't see him ever actually continue to the compositing phase in the video. he remained in the capture phase. i'd imagine it would clean up a bit if he had continued.

nothing compares to photosynth though. msft should include that on win phone 8.

Yep, there is some clean up that occurs. It still does not produce a perfectly merged photo, but still looks good.

I tried using this last night, but the APK I installed kept crashing whenever I switched to the 360 Sphere.

Anyone have any ideas or a new APK that might work better? It was a deodexed version if I'm not mistaken.

the flashable verson on xda worked fine on my gnex.

tried it out in my cube - doesn't work very well at all for close range spheres, since the angles are too severe for it to stitch.

I did the exact same thing, and it totally didn't work at all. I'll have to try it outside or something.
