This is a major problem with the system. When cops commit crimes they need to be charged with them the same as everyone else. Otherwise we are literally saying that they are above the law.

And people wonder why there is such a negative attitude toward cops.

I think that anytime a cop wrongfully arrests a civilian, that cop should be charged with kidnapping and assault and treated just like any other civilian in a court of law.

No more union protection and paid vacations for these pigs.

I would think the treatment would be somewhat harsher as there is an expectation that they are professional law enforcement and fully understand what is lawful and what isn't.

A quote from the cop; "don't take the attitude with cops, because we don't play, when a cop shows up, you're not the one in charge, I don't care if this is your house, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?"
Apparently, there are people that still don't understand.

Honestly, if I have done nothing wrong, and a cop comes to my house and takes that attitude, the same exact thing is going to happen (minus the nakedness thank god). He can go fuck himself. My home is my castle. That's how I was raised and that's how I'm going to act. I don't care if we both end up on Youtube.

Cop was obviously offered a deal of retiring early in lieu of internal investigation continuing - which is total bullshit. He broke the law and should be punished accordingly.

I also see no mention/reference of the partner who just stood there and watched the whole thing. He also entered the house illegally and, in my opinion, was an accessory to Rose's assault.

Some of these stories just really make your blood boil.

At some point law needs to change so that if there isn't video showing what the cop says he saw then it didn't happen. Make it so the only legal police activity is audio/video/GPS documented police activity.

The work caters to the type of human garbage that can't be trusted to be truthful.

Aren't police usually considered "expert" eye witnesses though?

Example, cop rolls up on you, says you were speeding and gives you a ticket with no proof other than he "estimated your speed" when you passed him, ie no radar/lidar was used to get an actual unbiased measurement. Then when you go to court to dispute it, it's your word vs the cop's, and the cop will always get the benefit of the doubt.
