If the manager knew of the tornado, he should have had all valuables stored in the bank vault beforehand.

If that was an F-5, they would have found the security camera in Illinois. The vault MIGHT have been left.

Use a browser other than Opera. The is video is also on Youtube, but it shows only one angle.

I'm using FireFox.

Do various browsers get shown a totally different video or something?

Because the video I watched did not show a bank being torn apart, hence my post.

A tornado about a mile wide ripped through Parkersburg and surrounding towns in Iowa on Sunday, May 25, 2008, killing seven people and injuring 67 in Parkersburg.

The tornado struck between 5:30 and 6:15 p.m., moving across the towns of Aplinton, New Hartford, Waterloo and Dunkerton then bearing down on Parkersburg which suffered the brunt of the storm.

Most of Parkersburg has some damage but the southern half of town was devastated by the tornado. Homes, banks, the high school and restaurants were destroyed.

Final assessment of the tornado rated it a low EF-5, with estimated wind speeds up to 205 mph.

That would be a low F-4. F-5 starts at 261

Clarification I lived in Moore OK in 99 when the F5 hit. It left nothing but rolling plains and foundations in it's wake. F-5s destroy EVERYTHING. God forbid any man should witness an F-6.

The argument for the new scale is that the damage caused by a tornado with winds of 260 mph is not that much different than the damage caused by a tornado with winds of 200 mph. Lots of tornadoes that were labeled as F5's and F4's in the past were probably just F3's or less. As for that tornado in OK, at one point Doppler radar estimated a wind speed of I think 318 MPH (although that was probably not at ground level).

you apparently haven't been informed that the Fujita scale has been updated, and the new scale is called the Enhanced Fujita. ;)
It takes destruction and wind speed into account, whereas the 'old' scale was pure wind speed.
EF-5's start at 200mph. They now realize that some tornadoes that had previously been designated as F-3's, fit the damage bill of 'stronger' tornadoes, so now you have an adjusted scale. They also have super long manuals that detail the amount of damage to different types of buildings made of a variety of materials, and based on the level of damage, there is a rating.

That's the same video as in the OP.

It still doesn't show a bank being torn apart.
Umm...what does it show?

A bank with some papers and debris being blown around a bit.

Is your eyesight deteriorating?

He's one of those annoying people who like to argue over stupid stuff for no worthwhile reason.

I don't think Odin realizes the video ended because the camera system was dismantled.....
