he's 8, and he has a shit load of skills on the football field, watching him cut and run is pretty damn amazing. He's gonna be crazy when he grows up. it's NSFW due to background music, but mute it and it's fine. Doesn't have anything to listen to besides the song any ways.

I wouldn't want to be this kid, I'd imagine between his parents push him hard as hell, and every recruiter in the country will hawk around him. Even if he loves the game, to be 8 and have to go threw that kind of pressure would suck. I might have loved to be able to ball like him when I was 8. But I think I had a much better time playing on my C-64

I was more impressed with the pass from the QB and the smoothness in which they ran the double wing offense.

I have a boy with this type of talent on my team, and the division we play in has about a half dozen boys with similar styles and abilities. The problem with watching kids in youth football is that half the boys out there will never be better than junior high ball. The vast majority of the rest will probably play through high school and only a handful will go on further than that.

Keep in mind also, it is obvious he plays in a weight-restricted league. Throw in some bigger boys and see what happens. He was good, but you have to take it with a grain of salt.

Yea I was having a hard time believing he was 8. At 8 you would be doing pretty well to understand the game, let alone play it. But 12, yea I can see that.

He may not be competing against the best players, but he is above par with his peers. As his competition gets better he will get better, or he will fold. My bet is on get better.

"Cody is NOT 8 years old, he is 13 years old. The film fottage you?re watching is from our season last year (when he was 12years). They are of our first Regional game agaiinst Valencia Park (San Diego, CA); and our 2 Pop Warner Superbowl games vs Holliston Panthers (Red and white) and the San Marin Colts (Green and Yellow). We won all three of those games to go 15-0 and become the 2006 Pop Warner National Champions D-2 PEE WEE level (Warner Bracket).

The coaching he received and the players surrounding him were just as great. The prior 2 years, Cody played for another team, along with #20 that first year, and they amassed only 2 touchdowns in those years. The offensive line in front of him were outsized all year, and yet they were able to open up holes that a Mac-truck could go thru untouched. They were, and are, ALL awesome.

In closing please, know that Cody was a part of a GREAT team that did amazing things (last year was our second trip to Florida (back to Back) to coompete for the national Championship). All the players and their families made the coaching experience beyond phenominal. I am pleased, to know and have worked with them all. I do sincerely hope that this serves to clear up any misconceptions about Cody and the rest of 2006 Los Alamitos PEE WEE GRIFFINS!

Agreed. I would be willing to bet, though, that by looking at those clips that those kids were/are pushed very hard at all times, because it looked way too organized and important for a bunch of ~12-year-olds.

Don't seem speecial tome. The kid's just not as uncoordinated as the opposing players. Unfortunatlety, the video does not play at realtime speed, it speeds up and slows down, make it look much more dramatic than it really is. It ain't the kid the makes it interesting to you.
