I have a D/dock expansion station for my dell precision m60. The d/dock is the one with the pci slot and drive media bay in it. My problem is that the first couple times I had a monitor hooked up to the dock it would show up then this weird screen would come up with just blue and green diagonal bars going across the screen.

I got the monitor to work and then I put a pci video card into the pci slot so I could get dual vga outputs off of the dock. I recently bought a DVI flat panel viewsonic 19" widescreen so do not need the pci card in there for dual monitor setup. I am trying to get one DVI monitor and one vga monitor working in the dock to make it a dual screen.

I got it to work a couple times in the beginning, now when I put just one cable, either a DVI or vga monitor into their respective ports, there will be the output on the screen up until the windows boot up screen with the scroll bar on the bottom. Then it will try to load up my desktop, I will see the desktop for about 10 sec, then the monitor will go black and not come back and say video output not available.

Is there anything I have to do to get the video back? Anyone know what the problem could be. I know I have the latest drivers for my laptop video card because I just downloaded ones that came out for nvidia yesterday.

any suggestions on what I could do?

Thanks
