nickelback may be one of the worst bands in modern rock, but nobody deserves to have crap thrown at them while they play.

They took it very nicely, except when he gave the crowd the middle finger, that was a but immature.

No, that's very appropriate when people are throwing sh!t at you.

I think a lot of the people didn't know what he was saying so they just stood there.

I was at a Metallica concert once and a shoe hit Hetfields hand while he was playing quitar. He LOST it.

The reason a lot of people hate them is because many people consider them a knockoff of Pearl Jam. I remember when the DJs used to make fun of Creed, Nickelback, etc. back in the late 90's...that's probably why the late 90's was considered the era of the Pearl Jam clones.

Heh, I never liked creed that much (didn't hate them either) but I saw Scott Stapp (sp?) on Craig Kilborn one time and he seemed nice enough. Never understood why people hated him so much.

b/c
1. there is nothing original about him.
2. they are the quintessential pearl jam ripoff band.
3. hes posturing & arrogant.
4. he strikes his 'jesus on cross pose' every chance he gets.

well those are MY reasons. i cannot speak for the millions of others that hate him.

and i gotta hand to Nickleback there, they handled the situation alright. it is definitely not cool to chunk stuff at the band on stage, you can boo and whatnot, but throwing stuff crosses a line. especially bottles, that can kill a person.

im sure Fred Durst or Scott Stapp or someone like that wouldve been calling someone out to fight backstage or something.

That would be great! Lets all do that at some rap concert!

I'm not paying 75$ for a concert ticket just to boo and leave.
