VIDEO: new kind of spinners

the previous generation of spinners basically have another set of spokes that spin OVER your actual rim. these actually spin the SPOKES! looks like your spokes are spinning on the lip of the tire. pretty darn cool.

still wouldn't catch me dead w/ these on my car though.

i do not understand what is so new about those. it is clearly spinning around something else, just as they always have been. you can see that there is something black underneath what is spinning. they probably just painted it to look that way.

if you look close, you can also see 3 parts that look like 3 parts of a triangular middle part of a rim. look close at the top, bottom/left, and bottom/right , right by the outer ring of the rim. you will see a little silver piece.

so again i ask heh, what is so different?

I saw a car that the spokes didn't move at all as we was driving. It was kind of freaky, you're brain is thinking "the car isn't moving", but your eyes see something different.

jeez, well aren't you just the observant type. you noticed that there was support underneath.

there's obviously a difference between these spinners and others. the new spinners give the illusion of the entire wheel spinning, rather than having an additional cap spinning over the stationary wheel. notice how the spinning mechanism stretches across the entire inner diameter of the tire.

more like spinners version 1.5

they are just regular spinners except now theres a ring around the edge making it look like a whole wheel. big whoop.

There are rims out where it totally looks like the wheel isn't spinning at all...a guy that owns a car audio shop (VIP motorwerks) has em on his s600....at first then look kinda ugly, but when he's moving, u just won't believe ur eyes.

They sell those at Wal-Mart... for like $39.98, qnd best of all, they are plastic, so they won't corrode!

It takes all kinds, I guess... they'd be every bit as 😕 at us dropping hundreds on video cards

...except there's an actual performance gain to be realized with a better video card.

I've actually seen a Honda Civic, 4 door, with these spinning hub caps on them. Needless to say, they spun for about 20 seconds on the stop light before they stopped. We gave the person driving the car a huge thumbs up !
