I was browsing around the www.gruntville.com site, and I came across /this video module mod. I was wondering if anyone has actually done this or something similiar to it. I would like to do something like that to use as a second monitor to have IE or AIM open on while I am playing a full screen game on my monitor. Does anyone know where a thin LCD (19mm) like this can be found?

That's pretty damned slick there... Also, now that I know of a source, I might use that for a mod to my truck...

Ive seen people take the 5" ones meant for cars and put it on the side of their shuttles. However, its thickness is more like an 3/4". Something that might be really cool is to take the LCD off of a Laptop, figure out what wires to what, and adapt it to your VGA port or something. That would be really cool esp if it was one of those 15.4" 1900x1200 resolution ones :D

Ok, that qualifies for a WTFWYWT... There's no way in hell you could fit a 15.2", or even a 12.1" LCD onto the front a computer case and make it look cool/good. The smaller ones are easy to do, but not when you go that large.

Besides, being able to dedicate a SMALL display for minor tasks/functions is a good idea. With a 15.x" LCD screen, that would [probably] be better than your main display, you wouldn't want to do that. I can see having visual effects run on the small screen when music is playing on a system (leaving the main display either off or for other tasks).

Sorry, the picture was broke on my comptuer before.
I was thinking of moding the side panels of a case. I mean come on, in a couple of years, wouldnt it be kinda sweet to have an oled Sheet affixed to the window on your case?

Also, if you have a case like CM stacker, you might be able to put the widescreen 10" laptop screens in portrait mode...

Of course all of the mods i suggest right now are 1.) $$ 2.) maybe impossible 3.) who would sac a perfectly nice laptop ?
